DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Summary of the role:

To join the Project Services team within State Street Bank Luxembourg S.C.A. and to work as Project Manager.

The Project Manager is responsible for a portfolio of Projects impacting the bank (client on-boarding, regulatory changes, business transformation, etc…)

This role provides an opportunity for a self-motivated individual to join the dynamic project group to partner with business stakeholders/partners (internal and external) to manage, execute and deploy medium to large, complex projects.

The position requires strong project management skills to manage priorities, monitor progress against objectives & deliverables, and report key issues and risks.

The successful candidate must have strong written, verbal and analytical skills and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end planning, management and implementation of projects.
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables.
  • Coordinate overall project communications, monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders, including Senior Management
  • Interface with other business units/work-streams involved in the project and coordinates the project team and activities across all organizations involved in the project.
  • Develop project plans, plan and schedule project timelines and monitor project milestones.
  • Track project deliverables using appropriate tools.
  • Provide direction and support to project team.
  • Present reports defining project progress, issues and resolutions.
  • Identify and report all risk and compliance issues and breaches.
  • Perform other duties as required (project resourcing, costing, etc…).
  • Act in accordance with Risk Excellence as part of our Way Ahead foundation.
REQUIRED SKILLS:

 Education, skills and experience:

  • Project management experience (6/8 years) in the Financial Services is required.
  • University degree in accounting, banking, finance, business administration, or equivalent professional qualification
  • Demonstrated ability to interact, engage and influence peers, colleagues and managers.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, facilitation, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated, self-assured, and self-managed.
  • Displays a proven ability to multi-task to meet time-driven goals.
  • Must display an ability to drive tasks through to completion and manage prioritization where required.
  • Experience running large, cross department business and technology programs.
  • End to end experience of project lifecycle
  • Very strong relationship management with demonstrated ability to work across business lines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially PowerPoint, Excel, Visio and Project
  • Required language is English (mother tongue ideally or candidate familiar working with Anglo Saxon/U.S. environment), French and German would be considered as an added value.
