Below are the primary business areas in which we offer work placement positions:
The fund accountantis responsible for performing a range of accounting responsibilities in order to maintain and report on a series of fund accounts as required by regulations and our service level agreements with our clients. In this role you will assist with reviewing and resolving reconciliations of security portfolio accounts, calculating net asset values for various entities and their respective investors, and valuing security portfolios. Other responsibilities include preparing financial statements for various funds; working with a range of products, including equities, bonds, swaps, options, FX and futures; and posting account entries into the ledger.
Custody provides cash management, cash reconciliation, cash distribution services in addition to monitoring the trading of funds. The role involves the accurate completion of various reconciliations, monitoring and ensuring outstanding items are documented and that rigorous follow up takes place to ensure timely resolution. In addition you may be required to assist with other routine tasks within the Department including, but not limited to, trade processing and answering queries.
As part of the Financial Reporting team you will work with a team of experienced professionals where full training on all aspects of financial reporting will be provided with exposure to a wide variety of investment vehicles and instruments. As part of their on-going development, the person will learn about the functions and responsibilities of different departments within the company.
Assist with review of fund documentation and completing of review programmes in order to ensure appropriate monitoring of funds. Also assist in the review of funds to ensure compliance with regulatory investment restriction and borrowing power limits.
Transfer Agents are responsible for the timely and accurate authentication, routing and processing of security transactions for State Street’s global, multi-managed institutional investors. The trade processor is responsible for processing a broad range of complex security transaction types across various clients and global markets. The role requires interaction with internal accounting, client service and support teams.
Pricing & Derivatives
The derivative administrator is responsible for processing in the accounting of daily OTC derivatives trades in Funds , processing periodical coupon payments , reconciling OTC Derivatives position , collateral and cash and answering queries from fund accountant , other department and auditors
The pricing administrator perform the daily pricing and checks for OTC instruments on different pricing platforms , proactively monitoring queries from different stakeholder and ensure archiving procedures are followed
The tax specialist is mainly responsible for day to day tax administration of investment funds and that tax treatments are correctly applied. The calculation of the Luxembourg subscription tax and the value added tax is also part of the responsibilities of the TA. The TA is responsible for tasks such as funds’ tax certifications and documentation requirements for reduction at source, reclaims process and all queries related to taxes between fund groups and clients
- Finance related educational degree – Finance, Business Administration, Accountancy, Economics, International Business, Private Equity and Investment Management.(Sample of disciplines)
