For our Project Management department in Luxembourg, we are looking for a

Project Scheduler (m/f/d)

 

 

The project Scheduler is the point of contact for the project internally with regard to project planning and the progress measurement system. She/he ensures that appropriate scheduling and progress monitoring systems exist and can be used for predictive project management.

 

Your main tasks:

  • Generation and maintenance of project schedules for complex medium and large-scale projects during sales and execution phases
  • Master schedule (30-150 lines) designed for initial project estimations and reporting – developed during sales period
  • Summary schedule (200-500 lines) designed for progress reporting and high-level controls – developed during and prior project inception period
  • Detailed working schedule (2000-5000 lines) designed to steer and control the entire project – developed during and prior project execution
  • Implementation and management of the progress measurement system 
  • Early coordination of project specific deliverable lists and functional planning’s
  • Administration and control of standard WBS framework within the project planning software
  • Continuous monitoring of the project’s scheduled performance via: 
  • Direct progress inputs from the functional manager/s or leading resource/s (engineering, procurement, construction)
  • Extrapolation of digital inputs from the electronic document management systems (AGILE, EXOD, SAP)
  • Reporting and coordination with the project core teams, clients and business partners
  • Critical & near critical path analysis, float analysis, flagging of possible schedule deviations and proposal of corrective measures and recovery approaches
  • Support in developing alternative “what if” schedule scenarios
  • Generation and updating of progress reports 
  • Actual vs baseline schedule comparisons.

 

What do we expect?

  • Graduated in a technical field or as business engineer and at least 3 years of experience in complex large-scale and medium size projects and project-related work processes as a scheduler, preferably in plant engineering and construction
  • Expert knowledge of the methods of scheduling, resource and project planning as well as controlling
  • Expert skills in the scheduling software MS Project. Primavera P6 knowledge is considered as an advantage
  • Fluent in English and either German or French
  • Autonomous and result-oriented way of working, personal initiative
  • Strong skills in communication, process understanding and quick familiarisation with new processes and technologies
  • Strong personality, with the ability to drive issues and control implementation.
